Flyposting on corner of Longley Lane & Altrincham Road

Our council’s Area Conditions Officer, Julie Henshall, has been looking into the mass of signs at the junction of Longley Lane and Altrincham Road on the edge of Gatley.

Unfortunately, that side of the road is in Manchester, not Stockport, so our council officers have no power to act.  It has been passed onto Manchester Council and we can only hope they act.

I always used to report it but have lost heart in anything to do with that site (or should I say sight)

I know what you mean Paula. I don’t think I’m fussed what happens to the “sight” now – leave it derelict, turn it into a 24 hour lap-dancing club, anything in between. Couldnt care less :-)

Friends who visit and see the tatton comment on how Gatley has gone ‘down the pan’ Posters on the walls doesn’t help. Will this also happen to the bank when it shuts?
