The new play area in Scholes Field (at the Foxland Road corner) is now completed and, my son tells me, looks cool.
It does look good, and there were already about 15 kids playing there when I passed this afternoon, so drop by and take a look.

Hi Anne,
I was sad to see the benches already have graffiti on them. I doubt any sort of patrol could be there for enough of the time to stop graffiti and littering.
The Council do a fair amount of work with local schools to push the littering message (including that kids risk a £50 fine for dropping litter) but as we can all see, the success is sadly more limited than we’d like.
Hi Iain
Yes it does look ‘cool’ and it’s great to see the kids. Pity about all the litter in spite of the bin, and have you noticed all the graffiti on the wooden benches? Is some kind of park patrol possible?
