Despite as recent spate of burglaries in Lorna Grove, Dingle Grove and West End Avenue, Gatley, there is some good news: overall burglary figures are down in Gatley.
There have been 39 burglaries from houses in the last three months, compared to 62 in the same three-month period last year.
Police are also working on a spate of car vandalism and thefts of fuel in Cambridge Road and Belmont Road, Gatley (there was a similar issue last year in the same area and the person responsible was then caught).
As we reported previously, there’s been a recent spike in shop-lifting in Cheadle and Gatley – especially from the larger shops: the Tesco and Co-ops, which the Police are also investigating.
