Will work on new Cheadle Sainsbury’s start in October?

At the beginning of the year, we were told that the project to demolish the existing Warwick Mall in Cheadle and replace it with a new building would start in February.  The new building includes ground floor retail (which now looks like it will be Sainsbury’s) and 14 apartments on the first and second floors.  Work is scheduled to take about a year to complete.

Since then, things have dragged on and nothing has happened.

We were given a date of September by the contractors, which now looks to have slipped to October.   None of us would put money on it not slipping further!

We’ll keep you up to date with progress.

Where will the residents of this new housing development park their cars?

HI Jennifer, Because these are village centre apartments, residents will rent/purchase them knowing there are no dedicated parking spaces.

There will be cycle parking and public transport information for the apartments, and the public car park.
