As in previous years, the Council is funding free parking across Stockport Borough in the run up to Christmas:

The Council is giving motorists a festive boost with free Town Centre parking in all Council owned pay and display car parks and on-street pay and display bays on the following dates:

• Wednesdays from 9th November until 14th December, from 4.00pm onwards
• Every day from Monday 19th December until Friday 23rd December, from 4.00pm onwards
• All day on Sundays on 27th November, 4th, 11th and 18th December

This applies to car parks at Merseyway Shopping Centre, Knightsbridge, Great Egerton Street, Newbridge Lane, Armoury Street, Churchgate, Heaton Lane, The Ritz and Hopes Carr.  The offer excludes private car parks at the Peel Centre and Grand Central Leisure Complex.

There will also be free parking in Stockport’s District Shopping Centres in Council owned Pay and Display Car Parks in Bramhall, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Edgeley (except Armoury Street), Hazel Grove, Marple, Reddish and Romiley on Saturdays 3rd, 10th , 17th and 24th December.
