Potholes marked out for repair across Cheadle and Gatley

by Lib Dem team on 23 March, 2012

Inspectors have been around much of Cheadle and Gatley looking for potholes and marking ones due for repair with white paint.

The work is still in progress, but we can see which ones have been marked up already.

By marking up the potholes in this way, proper permanent repairs can be efficiently scheduled – they will happen over the next month or two.

Could we send the inspectors onto Chester Road in Hazel Grove to fill in all the potholes missed during the traffic calming “Improvements”…

Some have been done by Bullocks Coaches which have been caused by their very large 10 wheeled double axle coaches should they not be responsible for the repair of the damage caused. It might be prudent to look at the state of Jackson street by the Red Lion pub also they are driving on the wrong side of the road at 3am to gain access to the front exit only of their yard damaging the pavement from 64 to 68 Stockport road.

Still the potholes on Kingsway slip road joining Broadway are a disgrace. The repair to these have been promised for months and still had no attention and I don’t think even now are marked for repair.

Carole & David – I was glad that the worst potholes were repaired at the junction, but disappointed that some potholes were left unrepaired. We are chasing up to get those done as well.

Brent – thanks, we’ll check on that.

    Iain,

Could you have a look at Hawthorn Road, outside number 19.
Down to the hardcore and breaking up rapidly.

It has not been marked up.
