Stockport Council’s website has thousands of visitors each day, and you can advertise your events there for free.

Any community-based event, including anything from coffee mornings to football matches, youth clubs to ballroom dances can be advertised. You can enter the details of the event directly onto the Council website and, after moderation, it goes up. You can put up repeating events.

It’s a valuable resource we need to be making better use of – free advertising on a well used website with a large local audience. I’d like to see a lot more events – and a far bigger variety – on there.

There are hundreds of local events out there where the organisers are keen to get the public along, and I’d like to see this resource far better used by the community, so please submit your events now!
