I see that the Gatley Traders Association are seeking funding for a “shop local” day.

Much as I support shopping locally in Gatley, I see no justification for tazpayers money being used to support what is, in effect, a commercial advertising campaign. The traders will be reaping the profits – let them fund this themselves. There are other far worthier causes that the Committee could assist.

Re Old Rectory parking, I hope this will highlight the need to consult traders around the area where changes are planned. Notices stuck on poles are just not enough.
