The Environment Agency have warned of the risk of flooding in Cheadle and Gatley over the next 24 hours as the River Mersey and her tributaries (including Micker Brook) continue to rise with the heavy rainfall.

The Flood Alert is the lowest level and says that there may be problems over the next day or two, not that there are now or definitely will be.
