Daniel Orrett, 32,  has died following a stabbing at a house in Cheadle.

Police were called to a house on John Avenue in Cheadle following reports that a man had been stabbed at around 11.30pm.

Officers discovered Mr Orrett with a stab wound to the neck.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance but died later.

Dawn Barr, 41,  believed to be the victim’s partner – has been charged with his murder.
