Gatley graffiti reported

by Lib Dem team on 30 April, 2013

We’ve reported a few pieces of graffiti to be painted out:

– Graffiti on the green comms box on Altrincham Road between Lorna Grove and Carlton Drive
– Graffiti and paint on the skateboard ramps in Gatley Recreation Ground (brought to our attention by a local resident via the Gatley Facebook group)
– Graffiti on the old toilet block in Gatley Recreation Ground.

If you see any graffiti around Cheadle and Gatley, please let us know. It’s important to get it removed quickly.

As an example of what happens when this isn’t done, I found myself on Sunday morning walking from Old Trafford football ground (where the Greater Manchester Marathon started and finished) to Whalley Range High School (to the Amaechi basketball centre, where the national divison 1 & 2 play-offs were being held). There are some nice areas around there and some houses as big or bigger than anything you’ll find in Gatley – but all the signs and boxes were covered in graffiti and it just brings the whole neighbourhood down!
