Anyone passing Cheadle Green on Bank Holiday Monday can’t help but have noticed it packed with people as market traders selling food, clothes, jewellery and more all seemed to be doing good trade.
The next Makers Market is on Saturday 1st June – don’t miss it!
At the event, I was also made aware of an issue with advertising the market, which I’m hoping to sort out.

I think the two main, certainly the most popular, hot food outlets were Chinese and Caribbean reflecting the multicultural nature of our village. But where were the pie and peas stalls?
We had a lovely time at the Makers Market! It really did top our Bank Holiday weekend off nicely. So much lovely food and friendly, welcoming stall holders. Excellent and I look forward to the next, we’ll be giving it our full support.
Very good market – but it was a shame about people taking their dogs because they were getting under people’s feet and jumping up at the food they could smell (not very hygienic and not fair to stall holders with food).
Oh no! better save up for the next one folks, or better still support the local small shops, qualities the same and alot cheaper, shop local while the shops are still here.
Really enjoyed the event but a bit disappointed that more Cheadle shops didn’t take part. It seemed like a lost opportunity.
