At Tuesday’s Cheadle Area Committee, councillors approved spending just over £25,000 from local developments in new play equipment for Gatley Recreation Ground.
The new equipment will replace the ageing slide and climbing frame, and include an improved safety surface on the ground.
We’re also looking for ways to fund an improvement to the tennis/basketball court area. Resurfacing and refencing that will cost around £40,000 which the Council doesn’t have, so we’re looking at the possibility of securing external grants.4 Comments
