Congratulations to 1st Gatley Scouts and Cubs, coming in third place in the national Scoutcar Races (division 2) last Saturday.

The Leaders and Scouts build all the karts from scratch and then the Scouts and Cubs raced them in Ashbourne, Derbyshire last Saturday.

They got a top three finish in nearly every race, coming third overall. Next year’s Scoutcar races are in Manchester.

The scoutcars were out again at the Gatley Primary School BBQ on Thursday evening, when everyone had a chance to try them out. On another gloriously sunny evening, the school raised over £4,000 – a fantastic achievement. Thank you to everyone who helped out and came along. We were very impressed with the coffee stand branching out into milkshakes.
