Report it online to Stockport Council for a quicker service

by Lib Dem team on 18 April, 2015

More and more people are choosing to report problems to the council online rather than by phoning up. Not only does it take less time, but the response is quicker too.

When you call or email the Council, someone has to type all your information into the computer system, adding an extra delay. If you fill in the form online, the information goes straight to the person who needs to sort it out.

Whether it’s a missed bin collection, faulty streetlight, pothole or any one of the many other issues the council deals with, it’s quicker to do it online.

Stockport Council’s website is now designed to work with tablets and mobile phones, so to report something from your mobile device, just go to the council website.

I’m sure this is great when it works, Iain.

I completed the online form for pest control some weeks back. Heard nothing and had to resort to the good old-fashioned telephone.

Have to say that the member of staff on the other end of the phone was most helpful, as was the pest control guy. Can’t fault the service – apart from the techie side of things.

I reported/emailed a couple of weeks back and got a form of acknowledgement of sorts – a strange one really as it didn’t state what they were going to do – looked like an automatic reply to me.

I will give it a couple of weeks.
