Reminder: Cheadle car parking public meeting

by Lib Dem team on 3 February, 2016

Just a reminder that the public meeting we’ve organised so everyone can look at the issue of parking in Cheadle village centre and hopefully agree what we do next is this week.

The meeting is on Wednesday 10th Feb 2016, 7pm to 8pm in the Upper Rooms (above Tesco) and all are welcome.

It will be a workshop meeting where everyone works together to come up with proposals we can put into practice.

I can not attend the meeting due to other commitments. But could the recycling banks not be relocated to the grassy scrubby area at the joining of Ashfield Crescent and the car-park, freeing up the spaces they now occupy.

    Hi Iain
Please could you post the outcome of the meeting for those of us that could not attend.
    Thanks
    Tony (Kaye)

I do have a suggestion, by the way
All the residents’ car parking spaces in cheadle village are under occupied during the day. Is it possible that these could be utilised by shoppers etc for a limited period during the day.
Perhaps they could be used for a maximum of 1 or 2 hours to enable shoppers to ‘nip in and out’ to do their necessary jobs. Surely most of the residents use the spaces at night.

Tony – yes I’ll post a report back from the meeting in the next couple of days. Residents parking spaces is a thorny issue, but it’s one we’re looking into – it’s a good idea!
