From the Council:
Please be advised that contractors working on behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester will be undertaking maintenance work to existing road markings on A34 Kingsway, Cheadle, underneath the Etchells Road bridge. These works are scheduled to take place overnight from 8pm Friday 6th May to 5am Saturday 7th May and will require the use of temporary lane closures.

I noticed the other day the works at Handforth now say winter 17 and not winter 16 as they did when it first started.
Amazing how this work wasn’t done when they first built the by-pass, since it was always a proposal…….The 30 zone should be lifted when there’s no one working, which is pretty often!
I agree with Robert. There are so many occasions when no one is working that his proposal could easily be adopted.
