Runway 2 to be used overnight on 38 nights

Manchester Airport has told us that, for routine maintenance, runway 1 will be closed and runway 2 used for up to 38 nights (10pm to 6am) in 2016. You can see the dates and details here. Runway 2 flights can be noisier for some local residents.

Due to maintenance on the taxiway alongside runway 1 at Manchester Airport, the runway will be closed between 10pm and 6am from the night of Monday 11th June until 6am on Friday 15th June.
