Police are urging residents to make sure they leave their houses secure during the school run, after 14 burglaries and attempted burglaries across Cheadle, Gatley and Bramhall.

Burglars have hit Lorna Grove, Altrincham Road and Belmont Road in Gatley, and Gatley Road, High Grove Road and Ashfield Road in Cheadle.

Not all the burglaries have been during the morning or afternoon school run, but Inspector Steve Gilbertson is saying that time is increasinlgly common.
