Here is the agenda for next Tuesday’s Cheadle Area Committee.
Some of the items on the agenda:
- An update from the Police and our Area Conditions Officer, plus your opportunity to ask questions and raise issues.
- Planning application for a free-standing cash machine at the Red Lion BP Garage, Stockport Road, Cheadle
- Consideration of new yellow lines or traffic or parking arrangements for Ashfield Road, Ashfield Crescent, Oakwood Avenue and Councillor Lane service road.
- Consideration of an updated report on permit parking in the Hall Street/Ernest Street area of Cheadle
- Distribution of £5000 to local good causes through the Brookfield Shiers Family Trust (we’ve had a total of £15,000 requested from 13 organisations, so unfortunately not everyone’s going to get what they’ve asked for).
Come along to the Ladybridge Residents Club, Edenbridge Road, Cheadle Hulme at 6pm – all welcome!
Sadly I cannot make the meeting but I am disappointed that no reference is made about the Tatton. It continues to be a blight on Gatley as a whole and in particular for businesses and attracting people into the area.I suspect Tesco moving into the Red Lion may again have a negative impact on any potential purchasers.I really do feel updates on the position may help to illustrate the dire position the village is in
We don’t have an update on the Tatton at the moment, beyond saying that the Council is actively working with the owners and looking for opportunities to develop it; but it does depend on the current owners finding someone to sell or lease the site to and there being a plan that they can proceed with.
