Here are some points raised by the police report to yesterday’s Cheadle Area Committee. The report focussed more on Gatley this time as Gatley PC Bob Gallagher came along with Steve Gilbertson.
- Operation Harpoon is targetting burglaries in the area
- There have been recent issues with fruit and stones being thrown at properties around Oakwood Avenue, Beech Road and some shops on Gatley Road and Church Road. Investigation by the police has found the young people involved were taking fruit from the rear of the Co-op (this is now fixed) and they are known to the police, coming over from Wythenshawe.
- Operation Guard is protecting vulnerable premises against business robberies, with the Spar on Foxland Road receiving regular visit from police at the moment.
- Police are continuing to have a presence outside Gatley Primary and Lum Head when time allows, with a zero tolerance approach to illegal parking that puts children in danger.
- Police will be ticketing motorists illegally entering the South Park Road estate next week.
- Drug parephanalia has been found around Gatley Hill House
Excellent news about the forthcoming police action on the South Park Road estate.
that’s good news as we had fruit and stones thrown at our Conservatory last Sunday night !
