Just over a week ago, Pam was very pleased to officially open the new Multi-User Games Area on Brookfield Park, Cheadle (just off Chestnut Avenue).

We both went to the opening event, complete with lots of excited kids, sports instructors, a fantastic buffet and cake and many of the people who worked so hard to make it happen. That includes members of the Chestnut, Acorn and Ash Avenues Residents’ Assocation and representatives from Stockport Council and the local Police.

The aim is to give young people in an area that’s often suffered from anti-social behaviour something to do. The new facility looks set to be an excellent resource for the local community for many years to come.
