Thank you to Yeshurun synagogue for inviting myself and others to their service this morning, in which we remembered those from the local Jewish community who gave their lives for King and Country in the First and Second World Wars.

Pam King, Mark Hunter, Stockport council leader Dave Goddard, Chief Executive Eamonn Boylan, Rev Geoffrey Clarke from Trinity Church, Cheadle and a representative of the muslim community were among the visitors.

Second, thank you to all those involved in putting on the bonfire and firework display at Cheadle Sports Club, Kingsway.  I was very impressed with how quickly the queue to go in moved.  The whole event seemed to me to be very well organised and the fireworks display was a big success – lasted much longer than we were expecting.
