From the Council:

Stockport Council has been awarded a Silver Gilt at this year’s National Flower Bed competition at the RHS Tatton Flower Show.

The entry, which was designed and created by the Council, took inspiration from Stockport’s historic market, which is celebrating its 750th birthday later this year.

Judges and visitors alike were impressed with the interesting and creative display, which included bright rainbow stripes of summer bedding plants, a rustic cart of plant produce, and a metalwork representation of the Grade II landmark market hall.
