Who says the Police haven’t got a sense of humour.  Operation Gotham isn’t about giving all the coppers batmobiles, big capes and superb martial arts skills; it’s about keeping our houses safe as the dark nights return.

The serious message is this: the peak time for burglary as winter approaches isn’t the middle of the night, it’s from 3pm in the afternoon with lots of people either out at work or picking up the kids from school.

So be careful.  Don’t leave doors and windows open and take the usual precautions.  Consider getting a timer that can turn lights on and off while you’re out of the house, or leave the radio on.

Burglary isn’t a big problem in our area – let’s keep it that way.
