The Council have confirmed that grids have been cleared around Gatley railway bridge and the junction of Gatley Road and Oakwood Avenue.
This is one of the places that still has lots of water pooling after heavy rain (there were quite a few more, but we’ve sorted most of them).
Thanks the lovely Manchester weather, I’ve had a couple of chances to check in the last few days and it does seem to be a big improvement. Because the bottom of Oakfield Avenue is quite uneven, there’s still some pooling of water than isn’t draining away, but it looks to me to be a lot better than it was.
I’ll keep an eye on it as Autumn progresses.

Well done. At last. The guy from the council got in touch with me regarding the toilets in Stockport, but he is only concerned with the cleanliness.
