Stockport Council is highlighting a scam targeting local businesses as part of the Safer Stockport initiative.

Unsolicited calls to businesses are being made by rogue publishing companies trying to sell advertising space in a publication such as a diary or wall planner. They claim that the publication will be distributed to the emergency services, schools or other seemingly good causes.
