The Spring 2011 newsletter of the Cheadle Civic Society is out.

In addition to Cheadle news, the newsletter has interesting articles on Cheadle Hall (demolished 50 years ago, and partly unearthed in the Cheadle Green excavations last year), on Cheadle’s first motor mechanic and car salesman James Bullock, tracing your family history and the 150th anniversary of Bruntwood Hall.

With a year’s membership costing just £5, the society is well worth joining for anyone with an interest in the past, present and future of Cheadle village.
