What’s on at Cheadle Area Committee, 24th May

by Lib Dem team on 21 May, 2011

The next Cheadle Area Committee is on Tuesday 24th May at our new venue, the Upper Rooms (above Tesco), 11 Wilmslow Road, Cheadle. The meeting starts at 6pm. As always, it’s open to everyone to come along and participate and we encourage people to do just that.

Unfortunately, the agenda doesn’t seem to have been put online yet, so here are the items up for discussion:

  • The usual opportunity for councillors and members of the public to hear a report from the police and environmental and highways council officers – and to ask questions.
  • Applications for grants from St James Parish Church, Gatley, Gatley Festival and Gatley Carrs Conservation Group.
  • Planning application 46489 – to change a hairdressers at 2A Merewood Avenue, Heald Green to a domestic dwelling.
  • Planning application 46734 – to demolish the existing house at 15 Daylesford Road, Cheadle and construct two new houses on the site.
  • Proposal to improve a pedestrian railing on the pathway from 109/111 Crossefield Road, Cheadle Hulme to Ladybrook Valley.
  • Proposal to put double yellow lines a short distance down Daylesford Road from the junction with Schools Hill.
  • Proposal to replace existing parking restrictions on Outwood Drive, Kilburn Close, Oakdene Avenue and  Cross Road with double yellow lines along parts of those roads (the western half of Outwood Drive, down to the junction with Finney Lane, and Cross Road in front of the school, plus the junctions with Kilburn and Oakdene).
  • Proposal to change parking restrictions around Heald Green Library to prohibit loading and unloading Monday-Saturday 9am-4.30pm.
  • Proposal to allow Cheadle Hulme Cricket Club to take on a 10 year lease of their ground off Ladybridge Road, Cheadle Hulme.
  • Application by the Heald Green Festival Committee to use the Outwood Road Playing Field for the community festival on 25th June.
  • Report on how our Highways Ward Spokespersons will operate over the next year to streamline the processes of getting things done.
  • A report from Council officers into the issue of people from Cheadle Royal Business Park parking on St Ann’s Road North.
