Thanks are due to the organisers of the Gatley Rec Stream Clean – part of this year’s Gatley Festival.

In all I think there were about twenty people helping out on Sunday morning, including a good number of Cubs, Scouts and their parents, and we not only cleaned up the stream where it runs past the Recreation Ground and the Gatley Green Co-op, but also cleared litter from across the Rec Ground, around the recycling bins in the car park and a good deal of gardening and weed clearing was done too.

The haul of rubbish included the obligatory shopping trolley and a 12 foot metal pipe.
