Next Tuesday, 26th July, is Cheadle Area Committee, kicking off at 6pm at the Upper Rooms above Tesco on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle (access from the car park at the rear).
Coming up are:
- Two linked planning applications. The first is for five houses to be built on the site of the former Brookside Tennis Club, Brookside Close, Cheadle. The second is for re-surfacing of three existing tennis courts, construction of two new tennis courts, provision of car parking area and construction of a replacement pavilion at Baxter Park Tennis Club, Highcrest Avenue, Gatley.
- Single yellow lines for Abney Place, Cheadle. This is one that I’ve been chasing for a little while. There have been lines there for ages but they’ve never been legal. The site’s developers took it upon themselves to paint a line (and miss a bit where a car was parked) but never got them legally enforced. This proposal, following consultation with residents, will see the lines become enforceable – and the developers will pay.
- To consider removing a speed hump on Foxland Road (between Delamere and Silverdale), either leaving nothing there or replacing it with an improved speed hump, following concerns raised by residents.
