I’ve had a couple of reports in the last week or two of smells from Longley Lane tip – something we thought was sorted a while back with their new building to take the green waste.

There’s a new facility at the tip which is taking non-recyclable waste and doing something with it that generates electricity to feed into the national grid, before the remainder is taken away for landfill.  It sounds like there may be some teething issues with this that’s causing occasional smells.
