Looking Local – the smartphone way to report problems to the Council

by Lib Dem team on 8 October, 2011

If, like us, you keep an eye on problems around our area and report issues to the Council when you spot them, you might like to try the “Looking Local” app, free for iPhones and Android phones.  Why not give it a try – and let us know how it could be improved too.

The app  gives you an easy way to report all sorts of issues from abandoned vehicles to fly-tipping, from graffiti to potholes.  It also shows you what other people have reported (using the app – it doesn’t link into all reports).

Great idea, BUT, the feedback on the app from those that have downloaded it says it doesn’t work.

Their is also a pothole reporting app, I’ve used it a number of times and local councils don’t take a blind bit of notice.

    Hi Andy,

Within Stockport people have been reporting problems and the Council has been fixing them – I can’t speak for other councils of course.

We’ll see how it goes – if people do use it and it doesn’t seem to be working, let me know. I’ll be giving it a try too.
