Stockport’s civic Remembrance Sunday services

Here are details of the Remembrance Sunday services across Stockport.

Civic Service (Stockport) 10.35am – The War Memorial (A6)

Bramhall 10.30am – Procession from St Michael’s Church to Bramhall War Memorial.

Bredbury 3.00pm – Service at the War Memorial, George Lane, Bredbury,

Cheadle 10.30am – Parade to assemble at junction of Massie Street with High Street to proceed down High Street to War Memorial

Cheadle Hulme 9.40am – Meets at Hazel Road (by old Police Station) proceed to War Memorial

Compstall 10.55am – Laying of wreaths at War Memorial, Compstall Brow, Compstall. Prior to service at St Paul’s Church.

Gatley 10.45am – Service of Remembrance at War Memorial, Gatley Green.

Hazel Grove 10.45am – Service and laying of wreaths at the War Memorial, London Road

Heald Green 12.00 noon – Service and laying of wreaths at Heald Green & Long Lane War Memorial, Wilmslow Road, Heald Green

Heaton Mersey 10.45am – Service at St John’s Church, St John’s Road, Heaton Mersey.

High Lane 10.00am – Service of Remembrance at St. Thomas’s Parish Church. Laying of wreaths at the War Memorial at the conclusion of the Service

Marple 10.15am – Service at War Memorial in the Memorial Park, Marple

Mellor 12.15pm – Laying of wreaths at the War Memorial

Reddish 10.30am – Service at St Mary’s church prior to procession to the Cenotaph then to Willow Grove Cemetery’s Cenotaph.

Romiley 2.30pm – Assemble at Green Lane adjacent to the Duke of York Hotel. Prior to procession to Romiley War Memorial and Laying of Wreaths
