Life returning to some sort of normality after a long, but successful, election campaign, and we took 1st Gatley Cubs over to the Peaks, near Sheffield, to have a go at caving and weaselling.

Our hosts were the good people at Parson House,  and thanks to Andy for leading the events.

The caving might not have been three days underground swimming through lakes, but the cubs got a taste of the real thing – squeezing through narrow gaps and crawling along low caverns.

Weaseling, for those who don’t know (as I didn’t until recently) is squeezing through gaps between rocks and boulders.

Good fun was had by all, and some tired and happy Cubs (and Cub leaders) have a great day’s experiences to remember.
