Now’s the time to report faulty streetlights

by Lib Dem team on 6 October, 2010

As the evenings draw in, now is the time to report faulty streetlights to the Council.  Most are fixed within a few days of being reported.  Some take longer (especially if the problem is with the electricity supply and Electricity North West (ENW) have to get involved).

Most light columns have a number on them.  Just contact Streetscene (email streetscene@stockport.gov.uk or phone 0161 217 6111.  Give them the number of the column and the location, and they’ll take it from there.

If there’s no number on the column, or it’s too worn to read, describe the location from a house (e.g. the streetlight outside 6 Any Street).

If it hasn’t been fixed after a week, let Pam or myself know and we’ll chase it up for you (as I mentioned, there may be a good reason).

Here are a few I spotted last night and reported this morning:

– Posts 22, 29 and 31 on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle
– Posts 3 and 14 on Broadway, Cheadle
– Post 5 on Brookfield Crescent, Cheadle
– Post 1 on High Lea, Cheadle
– Post 32 Gatley Road, Gatley
