Stockport Lib Dems have secured new Christmas lights across the Borough for the coming years – we believe they’re an important part of Christmas and give a real boost for Christmas shopping.

But the previous lights are getting old – some have been around for as much as nine years and it shows (particularly on the reliability side – we always have more than we’d like not working).

So we’re moving to leasing LED lights for three years. They’ll be new, look good and use less electricity. After the three years, we can lease new lights.

Everywhere that had lights last year will still have them this year, and the trees will be going up too.

The lights will be turned on between 2.30pm and midnight daily.
