Two football teams are battling it out for charity at the Cheadle Town ground on 21st April.
The match, which is taking place on 21st April 2013 (1pm kick off) at Cheadle Town Football Club (Park Road, Cheadle, SK8 2AN), is rumoured to be attracting the interest of a few local celebs and will include a raffle with some fabulous prizes. This great game of football will see teams from Manchester City Council’s Customer Service Centre and Stockport Defence Business Services battle it out for victory – and all for a good cause. (Please note: neither team participating is representing their organisation – they are simply two groups of guys wanting to raise some money for charity off their own backs).
All proceeds from this event will go to a terrific local charity– St Ann’s Hospice. This charity is one that is close to so many people in the area, and one that – like our local businesses – is an important part of our local community. In the past, St Ann’s has benefited from some terrific fundraising and awareness-raising by local organisations (such as Stockport County Football Club, who are also helping us to promote this event).
I am contacting all local businesses and councillors in the Greater Manchester and Stockport area to ask if you would like to get involved with this great event.
You can do this in a number of ways. For example:
Please get in touch with Lee Rowley on 07813254856 or Stewart Crawford on 07885643040 if you think you can help, or if you’d like more details on how to get involved. Alternatively, you can donate directly to St Ann’s Hospice on 0161 498 3631 (please quote ref: football).
If you this is not something you are able to support at this time, it would still be great to see you on the day!! Admission is only £2 for adults and £1 for under-16s. Please get in touch with me for tickets.
