School fees, Robert? I assume you mean tuition fees, which we’ve made cheaper for poorer graduates, though graduates who go on to earn high wages will have to pay more.
Benefit cuts to those who need most help, tax cuts for the wealthy, only rhetoric on tax avoidance, growing gap between the rich and poor and also house prices between the north and south. come on Iain, you can’t possibly believe your own headline?
As Alan states the reduction in the top rate of tax was a big mistake. Irrespective of the merits in terms of returns, it sent out the wrong message and Labour have capitalised on it
Alan – I’m actually proud that with Lib Dems in Government the richest are paying far more tax than ever under Labour.
You’re right that Labour – who had a top tax rate of 40p for nearly their whole time in office – are attacking the Government over the 45p tax rate, but the reality is that other measures, including closing tax loopholes, have more than made up any loss of taxation so the richest are paying more tax and the poorest are paying less.
And, of course, none of that changes the many other real achievements the Lib Dems have made in Government.
Every government has had its plus points and the coalition is no different. Also, every government has had its minus points. and again the coalition government is no different. The LibDems always promote themselves as better than the others which is pure codswallop.
So ? are you expecting some kind of ‘pat on the back’ ?? – votes for you next time ??? !
Not from you, Robert.
20% vat
school fees (despite signing a document to the contrary)
West coast rail fiasco
etc etc

Every party promotes themselves as better than the others – and it’s entirely right for the Lib Dems to shout about what we’ve achieved in government.
