Stockport’s Little Underbank and Market get starring role

Stockport’s historic Little Underbank and Market Hall have a starring role in the latest National Lottery Lotto commercial.

If only it was always that sunny in Stockport.

    Ah bless.

    To be fair, I’ve just spent a short while on the Heritage Lottery Fund website and was pleasantly surprised to see how much money they have chucked at Stockport over the years and it has made a noticeable difference. St Mary’s has been a major beneficiary and if it hadn’t been for lottery millions I doubt the first class restoration of the Plaza could have gone ahead.

    It’s just a shame in their hurry to show us how lovely Stockport and the Lottery are they forget to mention that the cost of a ticket is doubling to £2.
