Work underway at Gatley Rec Ground

We were pleased to see the laying of the new path through the Gatley Recreation Ground in progress earlier this week – here’s Keith on site.

The Recreation Ground is well used and we’re very pleased to see the new path being laid. Money permitting, we look forward to seeing the tennis/basketball court being relaid in the next year.

Hi Margaret

I’m glad to say that the Lib Dems fight for Cheadle every bit as much as for Gatley.

There have also been big improvements to play areas near you – the new multi-user games area off Brookfield Road and improvements to Jubilee Park, for example.

We work hard to get things done right across the area and I’m very happy to go through all the work we’ve done in Cheadle.

Dear Councillors,

We have recently been investigating improvements to the infrastructure at the above site. I can confirm that works will be starting to resurface a section of the main footpath within the park that is currently in a poor condition. The work is due to start next week weather dependent, it is also hoped we can continue with improvements in the new financial year should the funding be available. Should you require any further information I can be contacted on the number below or return of mail.

Regards Paul

Thanks Colin – that email indeed one of the communications we’ve had with council officers about the rec ground – hope you would agree it doesn’t contradict anything we’ve said!
