After a resident contacted us, the Lib Dems asked Network Rail to repair the pigeon netting under the Gatley Road railway bridge by Gatley Station. We’re pleased to report that the work is happening this week.
2 CommentsPlease be advised that contractors working on behalf of Network Rail will be repairing the pigeon netting at the railway bridge near Gatley Station on Gatley Road, Gatley. The work is scheduled to take place overnight form 9pm 02/07/15 to 6am 03/07/15 under temporary signals.
I hope that it will be a secure metal mesh. Netting is simply a death trap for pigeons. A long horrible death. This is been done because one resident complained. What about the views of all the people who like the wildlife?
It’s repairing what’s been in place for many years so I hope it will be repaired to the standard of the original.
