Cllr Andy Verdeille leads Labour in Stockport

Congratulations to Cllr Andy Verdeille, who steps into Peter Scott’s shoes as leader of the Labour group on Stockport Council.  Cllr Philip Harding remains Labour deputy leader. I wish Andy well – he now leads the main opposition group, and I believe that good councils need good oppositions.

Gatley’s Tatton site up for sale
